Science of Trauma and Recovery Curriculum

The curriculum is designed to train students in healthcare, psychology, counseling, behavioral sciences, or related fields whose duties require interaction with individuals struggling to function in life because of trauma-induced symptoms caused by exposure to traumatic stress. Students will learn how to apply the principles of trauma-informed care and effectively use a trauma-focused recovery and wellness model, which integrates the application of salutogenesis to assist the survivor on a path toward recovery with optimized levels of functional well-being.
